NFL not in good hands with Goodell When middle America finally realized what was going on as the Obama Administration and a left-wing Congress started to methodically take this country in a direction never envisioned by the framers of our Constitution, hundreds of thousands of dissenters took to the streets in so-called “tea parties” to protest their feelings. In the NFL, by taking his eyes off the main prize commissioner Roger Goodell may find that football fans will do likewise.   The commissioner needs to ensure the financial stability and on-the-field impeccability of the game--period. Although the league’s annual finances seem to be the envy of the sporting world, and the NFL a great product for dozens of years, much more evidently needs to be done to ensure it survives, as is, and intact. The owners decided to opt out of the current collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with a few years left prior to expiration. Therefore negotiating with the players union becomes the commissioner...
